DZM INTRINSICALLY SAFE DUAL ZONE MONITOR

IS-Zone-ModuleModel DZM/IS is a Dual Zone I.S. interface designed to allow Hochiki’s intrinsically safe conventional detectors, to be interfaced to Hochiki’s ESP analogue addressable system.

The unit will allow connection of up to forty Hochiki I.S. conventional detectors through a Galvanic isolator, which are fully monitored for open and short circuit. An open collector output is provided but will only operate if supported by the Control Panel. (Please note that this module should only be installed in the safe area.)

Full monitoring against malfunction or disconnection, together with a self test feature through the ESP protocol, ensure the integrity of the DZM/IS at all times. The DZM/IS utilises simple DIL switches for reliable addressing and it is available in either an OEM version (as illustrated above) or complete with an IP67 rated enclosure.

The conventional zones on the DZM/IS do not support any line continuity options; therefore if Call Points are being interfaced they should be wired at the beginning of the zone.
